Congratulations to Garcia Early College High School's Owen Pescador for being named LISD November Student of the Month. The LISD Student of the Month is sponsored by Laredo Federal Credit Union, Chick-Fil-A Marketplace on Bob Bullock, and Laredo Orthodontics.
LISD will observe Thanksgiving Break from Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28. Classes will resume on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Seniors attended an informative presentation from Texas A&M University Victoria. College Majors, Application process and scholarship opportunities were presented.
GECHS had the great honor of welcoming several veterans to our campus in celebration of Veterans Day. Our students, staff, and guests gathered to pay tribute to the individuals who have served our country with courage and dedication.
We were especially honored to have Sergeant Higinio G. Reyes, Jr., LISD Safety Support Facilitator, as our guest speaker. Sergeant Reyes shared inspiring words about service, opportunity and the importance of honoring those who protect our freedoms.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans for their service and to everyone who helped make today’s ceremony a meaningful and memorable event.
